A Rare Collection. Our brief was to create a print based outcome that centered on an environment of our own choosing. I chose a charity shop I work at in my spare time. This was not only because it was personal to me, but because of the shear range of objects that come though its doors and on to its shelves. I had an army of objects to draw from, photograph, print onto etc… all with their own individual story and history, it’s like a refuge for unwanted items, a desperate final attempt to give your forgotten objects a new home, before they’re condemned to the rubbish heap. For some reason this idea appeals to me.
